Inc. Magazine today ranked Buffer No. 1557 on the Inc. 5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies. The list represents a unique look at the most successful companies within the American economy’s most dynamic segment—its independent small businesses. With three-year growth of 302% from 2014 to 2017 helping Buffer make the list, the team is grateful to be joining the ranks of companies such as Zappos, Yelp, Pandora, Facebook, Oracle, Microsoft, and many others.
“In the past year, we’ve made significant efforts at Buffer to become a sustainable company which can exist and serve customers for decades to come,” says Buffer CEO Joel Gascoigne. “As an organization that strives to see growth as a side effect of solving customer problems and creating a healthy, positive and safe working environment for the team, we're especially delighted to be named one of the Inc. 5000 for the first time.”
As a transparent company, Buffer is in a rare position to openly share all of its revenue and earnings, which paint a picture of the sustainable path that Buffer is on. Here are several key numbers from Buffer’s second quarter of 2018:
Since 1982, the Inc. 5000 list has honored the extraordinary journeys of the fastest-growing companies in America. “If your company is on the Inc. 5000, it’s unparalleled recognition of your years of hard work and sacrifice,” says Inc. editor in chief James Ledbetter. “The lines of business may come and go, or come and stay. What doesn’t change is the way entrepreneurs create and accelerate the forces that shape our lives.”
The Inc. 5000 is a prestigious honor for growing private businesses and the team at Buffer is deeply honored to be receiving it this year.
